Virtually all methyl methacrylate (MMA) is polymerised to produce homopolymers and copolymers using the most significant application function as casting, molding or extrusion of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or altered polymers. This oil sheeting includes clarity, weather-resistance and light weight properties which makes it a suitable substitute for glass safety glazing, panels and illuminated light screens. So a MMA Plant is necessary.
Methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) copolymers are used as an effect modifier for apparent stiff polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and in pharmaceutical and food packaging. MMA can partially replace styrenein unsaturated polyester resins to provide far better weather resistance and longer lifetime.

Requirement for MMA has been growing at 4-5%annually since 2002 and is predicted to last at 3-5percent annually over the long run. The rapid expansion in demand in Asia, driven by the electronics industry, will balance the slower expansion in GDP prices in western Europe and north America.
